In Sainte-Famille, the Parc des Ancêtres is a commemoration site dedicated to the previous generations. This place is located on the site of the Fondation François-Lamy where you will find the Site patrimonial et historique Maison de nos Aïeux, which offers a genealogy service about the founder families of the island and in which was once the presbytery. The Foundation also welcomes visitors at the Maison Drouin, the oldest house on the Island, kept in its original state and dating back to the French Regime.
On the site, you will also find a cider factory and a boutique, as well as orchards and a vineyard. The orchard is a beautiful estates that contains 4,000 apple trees (34 varieties) and that benefits from a spectacular view on the Laurentian Mountains. Cheese lovers will appreciate their visit of Les Fromages de l’Île d’Orléans, which makes home-made cheeses. The employees will welcome you in their 17th-century costumes.
