Saint-Pierre-de-l'Île-d'Orléans

Saint-Pierre Île d'Orléans

If you want to have an idea of what life was like on the Island in the past, visit the municipality of Saint-Pierre, but especially the Domaine Steinbach Cidrerie et Relais gourmand. On this site, you will find a cider factory and country products, a 4,000-apple-tree orchard, a duck and goose farm, a vinegar factory, an interpretation centre and a kitchen where country products are transformed.

A little farther in the village, the Cidrerie Verger Bilodeau, the winner of the Golden Cup at the Festival International de la Gastronomie is also worth a detour. You will discover sweet products such as apple butter, old-style mustard, cider jelly and apple syrup. In fall, you can come pick your own apples.

The Espace Félix-Leclerc, a memory, interpretation, educational and diffusion site dedicated to the singing and literary work of the famous Quebec poet Félix Leclerc, is another important attraction on the Island. Visit the permanent exhibition, the café-boîte à chansons, which allows new talents to perform on stage and the boutique. Participate in animated activities that will make you discover and appreciate the culture of Quebec and the work of Félix Leclerc. A wildlife and flora interpretation path is also accessible to visitors.

The Original Ghost Lantern Walking Tour

With a guided tour or an interactive theatre, be haunted by the ghosts who are still hiding inside the walls of Old Quebec.
