In the municipality of Saint-Laurent, visit the Forge à Pique-Assaut – Forge Economuseum, an interpretation centre on the traditional forge techniques. In this forge, you can observe craftsmen at work with chandeliers, furniture and gates made exclusively for you.

Overlooking the village, the Clos de l’Insolite will make you discover an enchanting rural site in an old building recently renovated. During your visit, you will have the chance to see the work of Chantal Chênevert, a watercolorist and haute-licière, the work of Denyse Langlois, a professional enameller who shows her works in four Canadian museums, as well as the original work of other artists.

Then, visit the parc Maritime de Saint-Laurent. At the Fillion building site, you will be told the maritime history of the region, and at the Chalouperie des Godbout, which is classified historical monument, a rowboat designer will welcome you and build a “water cart” before your eyes. The unique fishing harbour, both xperimental and educational, will make you discover the former fishing period of Île d’Orléans. A picnic area and a privileged access to the River complete the parc maritime site.
