A Religious Building and an Art Gallery!

The Basilica-Cathedral of Notre-Dame is a worldly renowned pilgrimage site. This place is both a worship place for the believers and a large art gallery for beginning artists or art lovers. Indeed, it houses baldaquins, canopies, stained-glass windows, paintings as well as sanctuary lamps. Guided visits are offered to allow visitors to learn more about the cathedral and its history. You can visit the crypt where lie four governors of New France as well as the bishops of Québec City, including Mgr François de Laval, the first bishop of the province. Have a nice visit!
