The Old Quebec neighbourhood encompasses the fortified part of the city. These fortifications are opened to visitors and will certainly please everyone. The Citadelle and the Royal 22e Regiment Museum will also give you the opportunity to discover the military past of Quebec City.

The numerous ancient buildings, the historical monuments as well as the houses bearing a unique architecture that are located in the area give its unique character to the city. Three of the main tourist streets of Quebec City can be found in this area: rue Saint-Jean, rue Saint-Louis and rue Saint-Paul.
