SAQ New France Festival

From August 4 to 8 2010

A total change of scenery

New France Festival is an occasion for Québec City's inhabitants and visitors to discover and relive the epoch of the region's beginnings. During a weekend packed with activities, costumed actors pace up and down the streets of Place Royale and Quartier Petit-Champlain. Keep your eyes open, for you might see one of the main characters who played an important role in the development of the city. You can also wear a costume and participate in the festival with the some 30,000 costumed festival-goers!

The actors will entertain you with their anecdotes and facts about the establishment of the colony in the 17th century. Overall, 13 sites of entertainment, concerts, parades, including the famous giants parade, as well as many more surprises await you. This year, the theme of the festival is "Games and entertainment", so bring the entire family and be part of the celebration!

You can buy your effigy for $8 in the SAQ boutiques of the province starting July 16 until stocks are exhausted , and for $10 on the festival site during the event.
