Old Port

A Slice of Heaven Along the River

The Old-Port of Québec is one of the most charming areas of Québec City. It comprises the Olo-Port, the Cap-Blanc and the Petit Champlain neighbourhoods. In summer in this area, it is always nice to wander on the quays while having an ice-cream cone. In the fall, the arrival of the large and luxurious cruise ships always attracts a great number of curious visitors and inhabitants.

It is also in this area that you will find the Marché du Vieux-Port (Old-Port Market), where the local farmers and producers come to sell their fresh products. The Petit-Champlain and Place-Royale neighbourhoods will also please many visitors with their narrow cobblestone streets, their restaurants, their boutiques and their art galleries. The New France Festival is also presented in this neighbourhood in August.
