Located along the Saint-Charles River, between the Lairet and the Maizerets neighbourhoods, the Vieux-Limoilou presents numerous attractions. The 3rd Avenue is to itself worth a visit. Many boutiques as well as merchants offering delicious regional products are located along this road. Take advantage of the cycling path winding along the Saint-Charles River that has recently been renovated. It gives you the opportunity to stop from time to time during your ride and admire the plants and flowers that decorate the path and the beautiful neighbourhoods that surround it. The parc Cartier-Brébeuf, located along this path, is a National historic site of Canada. It presents an exhibition about the voyages of Jacques Cartier in Quebec. You can also visit a long house or attend concerts on the outdoor stage in summer. In winter, the parc de la Pointe-aux-Lièvres allows you to skate along the skating rink for nearly three kilometres. You can also enjoy the slide, for the joy of younger ones. Back on 2nd Avenue, the École de cirque, which has been built inside an ancient church, presents regular performances. Come see these talented students show all their agility. In September, this neighbourhood beats to the rhythms of the Envol et Macadam festival. In the middle of 3rd Avenue is a stage on which you can see the performances of beginning artists.
