Québec (Sillery)

Atop the Cliff

Sillery was mainly colonized by the Lords who established large estates on the territory of this former city now merged to Québec City. Some of these estates have been transformed to allow inhabitants and visitors to enjoy them. The parc du Bois-de-Coulonge is one of them. It is one of the most remarkable public parks of the city and it enjoys a privileged site along the St. Lawrence River. Its horticultural layouts are of great beauty.

To the south, the Maison des Jésuites, built in 1730, presents a permanent exhibition that emplahized archaeological artefacts. Outside, you will find the ruins of the chapel, an Amerindian cemetery, some picnic areas and gardens. On the Saint-Louis Road, the Maison Hamel-Bruneau, a former family house of the Quebec “cottage type”, also offers a varied cultural program.

The Original Ghost Lantern Walking Tour

With a guided tour or an interactive theatre, be haunted by the ghosts who are still hiding inside the walls of Old Quebec.
