Home of the Jesuits

Built in 1730, this majestic home is a true remainder of the New-France period. Under its immaculate witness, its massive brick walls, you will find a precious heritage of our past. Maison des Jésuites de Sillery has more than 3000 years of history to discover. It is indeed one of the oldest site for the evangelization and sedentation of Native people in North America. In 1929, the home has been classified has an historic building by the government of Québec.

Maison des Jésuites de Sillery presents Mission en Nouvelle-France, a permanent exhibition telling the story of the striking encounter between Natives and Jesuits. The home also proposes varied temporary exhibitions as well as concerts, festivals and animation in the summer.

Schedule

June to September: Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

April to May and October to December: Wednesday to Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

March: Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

La Maison des Jésuites de Sillery is closed in January and February.

Open year round for the groups, reservation required.
