Saint-Ubalde

A City Bearing a Rich Past

Located in the western part of the Portneuf MRC, the city of Saint-Ubalde owes its name to Ubald Gingras, brother-in-law of His Grace Charles-François Baillargeon, archbishop of Québec and first sacristan in the region. With its numerous lakes, this municipality draws many visitors who are looking for water activities. Indeed, it is the perfect place where to fish, to go canoeing or water skiing. The agriculture and maple sugaring industries are the main economic activities of this city, particularly the production of potatoes, for which the city is renowned.

Tourists looking for a little piece of history can walk through the city along the Chemin du Roy. This road is home to numerous houses dating back to the French regime that have kept their original architecture. Take advantage of the water bodies and the hilly landscape to do all your favourite outdoor sports.
