An integral part of the Battlefields Park, the Plains of Abraham is an historic site where the French and English empires have fought for hegemony over Canada. It became Canada’s first national historic park in 1908.
The Plains of Abraham represents today a true green lung in the heart of Quebec City. The 108 hectares of the park are now enjoyed as much by citizens as by visitors who can go through the park by foot, bike, rollerblades, bus or even with cross-country skis and snowshoes during winter. It also becomes the “par excellence” place of gathering that welcomes the greatest events and festivals of the city. Furthermore, a wide range of activities and exhibitions for the whole family are offered to you throughout the year.
Do not miss to visit this unique site in the world that will impress you by its expanse, location, history and incredible beauty.
