Treasures to Discover

This neighbourhood is not part of the regular tourist circuit, apart from the portion of the René-Lévesque Boulevard that comprises well-known hotels, the Québec City Convention Centre and the government buildings.

While walking along René-Lévesque Boulevard, you will find the famous Grand Théâtre. Its concert halls present singers, humorists as well as internationally renowned musicals throughout the year. The parc de l’Amérique française, located next to the Theatre, is dedicated to the French-speaking communities in North America.

If you follow Saint-Jean Street outside the walls to the west, you will be in the heart of this neighbourhood that conceals many treasures to be discovered. Enter the Épicerie J.-A. Moisan, where you will find ancient products that date back to many centuries, or some fine modern regional products. In the Choco-musée Érico, you will learn everything there is to know about this delicious treat that is chocolate.

For your entertainment, the Théâtre Périscope presents many shows and concerts during the year. Take advantage of your visit in this part of town to admire the revitalizations of the René-Lévesque and Honoré-Mercier boulevards. They now present beautiful layouts.
