Bourg du Fargy

An Important Part to the City's Development

The Bourg du Fargy is part of the Beauport Historic Centre, but deserves particular attention. In fact, this is where the Beauport institutional center stood in the 17^th and 18^th centuries. Here, you can visit the Nativité-Notre-Dame Church that was rebuilt directly from its own ruins after fire destroyed it.

Right next to the church stands the impressive presbytery. Nearby, you can also visit the Congrégation de Notre-Dame convent, which was built in 1886. All along the streets of this neighbourhood, you can admire houses built at the beginning of the colony and bearing the architecture of that epoch.
