Beauport Historic Centre

Accessible from May to October

Three Centuries of History

You can reach the Beauport Historic Centre from Avenue Royale, the first route built in New France. Your visit of this site will take you three centuries back in the past with its some 500 buildings presenting a varied architecture. With its houses and boutiques, the neighbourhood will make you feel as if you were back at the beginning of the colony. Here, the parc des Martyrs has been established in memory of the Jesuit martyrs. The pilgrims who are on their way to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré can stop here to have some rest during their pilgrimage.

At the parc de la rivière Beauport, you will find a flourmill, a linseed oil factory and a distillery/brewery. A path lined with interpretation panels will allow you to learn more about the industrial past of this area. Do not forget to stop by the parc des Cascades, where hiking and cycling paths have been designed by the river.
